Sam is a Lawyer, a Banking Executive, Insurance professional and a Business Transformation Expert with 18+ years’ experience covering both Banking and Insurance at senior executive level with in-depth understanding of the business and regulatory environments in Ghana and West Africa.

Sam holds a first degree in Economics from University of Ghana, an LLB from Institute of Management and Public Administration and an on-going LLM from Queen Mary-UK an Executive MBA from Wales -UK

Sam also holds a Professional Law Certificate from Ghana School of Law, Diploma in insurance from Chartered Institute of Insurers -UK, Certificate in Insurance law-UK, Advance Diploma in Business and Economics CII-UK. Sam also holds various Executive education certificates from the Visa Business School in the USA, ADI Executive Program in South Africa, Maddison Pine-UK and the Ghana Banking College.

Sam is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and served as a Non-Executive Director of Ghana Student Loans Trust Fund (SLTF) from 2013- 2017.

Sam worked with Enterprise Insurance Company Ltd from 2003 to 2007, Barclays Bank of Ghana from 2007 – 2017 where he exited as Head of Insurance, Credit Cards and Retail lending and later joined Bayport Savings & Loans PLC as the Country Chief Commercial Officer from 2017 to 2021. Sam was also a part-time attorney with Esa & Koko Chambers(Stanley Les Consult) and currently the Country Chief Commercial Officer of Letshego Ghana PLC.
