HAYFORD KUMAH is the Head of FinTech Oversight and Supervision Unit at the FinTech and Innovation Office of the Bank of Ghana (BoG). He has almost 15 years of experience working as a financial service regulator in the banking, non-bank and fintech subsectors.

Hayford’s current workstream includes supervising financial technology (fintech) entities to promote a sustainable, safe, sound and efficient payments ecosystem, including formulating and implementing supervisory frameworks that balance compliance with innovation and financial inclusion.

He holds certifications in information systems audit, innovation, sustainability and accounting, and recently served as a tutor for an innovation development course for the Cambridge SupTech Lab, University of Cambridge (UK).
