Cecilia Hesse is the co-founder & Managing Director of Temple Investments Limited, one of Ghana's leading Investment Banking firms serving private, institutional, and sovereign clients. With over 20 years of experience in Investment Advisory, Debt Capital Markets, Fund Management, and Private Equity, Cecilia has made an indelible mark in the financial industry.
Cecilia's career is marked by a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Ghanaian capital markets. As the Managing Director at Temple, she plays a key role in establishing the company as a dynamic force in Ghana's capital market. Temple emerged as the arranger for notable milestones in the Ghanaian financial landscape. These milestones included spearheading the largest bond offering on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE), the first-ever listing on the Ghana Alternative Market (GAX), and the leading arranger for corporate bonds listed on the Ghana Fixed Income Market (GFIM). Temple also was a member of the arranging team for the Government of Ghana-sponsored E.S.L.A Plc. GHS10bn Bond Programme, the GETFund sponsored GHS5.5bn Daakye Bond Programme as well as the Government of Ghana 2021 Eurobond.
Prior to her role at Temple, Cecilia served as the Head of Debt at Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited. She was also an Associate Director in the Debt Capital Markets division at Standard Chartered Bank London. She began her career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs.
Beyond her executive roles, she is a board member of key institutions, including the Ghana Investment Infrastructure Fund (GIIF), contributing her strategic insight and financial expertise to shape the country's investment landscape. Cecilia also serves on the Ghana Securities Industry Association (GSIA) Fund Managers & Investment Advisors Committee. Cecilia has attended the Oxford Said Business School and holds a Master's from the London School of Economics.
