HON. ABENA OSEI-ASARE (MP)

MINISTER OF STATE-MINISTRY OF FINANCE, GHANA

Hon. Abena Osei-Asare currently serves as the Minister of State at the Finance Ministry of Ghana. She has previously held the position of Deputy Minister for Finance from 2017-2024, initially focusing on Budget and later taking responsibility for Revenue. Her time as Deputy Minister was marked by a significant impact on the management of Ghana’s financial policies, where she was instrumental in implementing reforms that enhanced transparency and fostered economic growth. With her robust background in economics and finance, she has been pivotal in driving major projects that align with Ghana's development priorities.

Hon. Abena Osei-Asare is also in her third term as a Member of Parliament for the Atiwa East Constituency, a position she has occupied since 2013. During her terms in Parliament, she has been an active member of the Employment, Social Welfare and State Enterprises Committee, as well as the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) among others. In addition to her legislative work, Hon. Osei-Asare has served on several public boards and committees, and she continues to contribute her expertise to the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), Financial Stability Council (FSC) and Bank of Ghana (BoG).

On the labour front, Hon. Osei-Asare has been a formidable force, especially in the realms of labour negotiations and conflict resolutions. She has led numerous national labour negotiations and conflict resolution efforts on behalf of the Minister of Finance, accruing over four years of leadership in this critical area.

A Chartered Accountant by profession and holds a dealing certificate in Financial Market Association (ACI), Abena Osei-Asare brings with her a wealth of experience from the banking sector, where she specialized in credit analysis, risk management, and strategic financial planning. Her professional journey includes significant tenures at Barclays Bank Ghana and New York University prior to her roles in public service.

Hon. Osei-Asare is a passionate advocate for human welfare and is dedicated to improving systems and processes to enhance productivity and maximize opportunities.

Prince Dagadu

Prince Dagadu is a financial markets professional with core expertise in Fixed income brokerage and Trading.

As an Authorized Dealing Officer (ADO) of the Ghana Stock Exchange and a Dealer duly certified by the ACI Financial Markets Association, Prince has had the honor of working on a variety of capital raising transactions, including government bond issuances under the Joint Book Runner (JBR) and Bond Market Specialist (BMS) programs. Prince led the distribution stage of eleven (11) separate corporate bond issuance tranches, serving issuers such as Daakye Trust PLC, Bayport Savings and Loans, Izwe Savings and Loans and PBC Ltd.

Known in event circles as the Regal Emcee, Prince, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) has served as Master of Ceremonies for many corporate and social events. Notable corporate events emceed include the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) society Ghana’s Annual Forecast Dinner and Charter Recognition Ceremony, University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) Business Excellence Awards, Trade Liberalization after AfCFTA Forum, jointly organized by the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) and United Bank for Africa (UBA) Ghana, Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Management (CISCM) Dinner and Recognition Ceremony and the ACI Financial Risk Summit.
